destiny and desire

...it was never meant to be

But it's just something we have no control over and
that's what destiny is

But no more worries, rest your head and go to sleep

Maybe one day we'll wake up and this will all just be a dream

Destiny gets blamed for so much in ignorance, but then I wonder how ignorant we really are.

All the world's a stage, after all, and we each enact our own insignificant dramas. We don't always follow the script.

Man is often more like Pirandello's description of "Six characters in search of an author"

We already have our roles mapped out...we don't like the idea of someone else taking over and defining who we are and how we should react to life's obstacles.

We see things the way we want to rather than looking to the Author of it all...

In reality, our destiny is always the result of what we desire.
